The following series of links reverberate with the confusion that has come over me this weekend as I pondered the upcoming presidential election. Unfortunately, the more I try to get prepped for the election (read: listen to candidate platforms, follow the debate to learn for myself who would be the best choice) I am bombarded by stories that suggest my current representatives are spineless jellyfish that are more fearful of losing the next election then standing up for MY RIGHTS in their present term. I mean, it’s just sad to read these stories and see just how weak these people are. This makes it even more important that I and my fellow citizens take seriously the elections and make sure that our elected representatives actively support our ideas rather then cower to an imperial president no matter what party!

Democrats Seem Ready to Extend Wiretap Powers
SENATORS Jim Webb of Virginia and Hillary Clinton of New York are right to demand that the president go before Congress to ask for a “declaration of war” before proceeding with an attack against Iran or any other nation. But there is no need for this demand to be put into law, as the two Democrats and their colleagues are seeking to do, any more than there is need for legislation to guarantee our right of free speech or anything else protected by the Constitution.
