There are names you know such as Tiger Woods and the Williams sisters; names you should know such as Althea Gibson and Calvin Peete; and names you probably don’t know such as Jimmy Winkfield, Grant Fuhr and Jerome Iginla but what is more interesting is that these African American and Canadian athletes have dominated and continue to dominate sports that were (are) traditionally thought of as the last bastion of white supremacy.
