Blogger Backlash

The financial institution where Mason works as a vice president has security filters set up to block access to — among other things — any website that contains the phrase “blog” in the URL. What’s more, says Mason, such practices are becoming prevalent in corporate America, particularly in financial services. The Blogging Revolution was suppose to open up a whole new avenue for freedom of expression and “open-ness.” But now…it seems that the more blogging develops the more governments, corporations and individuals want to shut us down, shut us up or pimp us out. Were we dreaming about what we could do with blogging or is this just a hiccup on the road to development and refinement.
