Hi, thanks for the shout out to Fancast, we think our library of full-length and FREE TV shows (movies too) is second to none. In addition to Fox and NBC shows we also have great Viacom programming like South Park, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and some great old CBS classics like the Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke shows.
Your readers may be interested to see the list at
http://www.fancast.com/full_episodes
and the movies at
http://www.fancast.com/movies
Cheers,
Jim (for Fancast)

Well, my theory was right in one way: the show most certainly didn't end with a cliched gunfight between warring mob dons. For that, I give David Chase much respect. I still think he could have done more with the ending. It's not the viewer's job to figure it out. It's the writer's job to illustrate it; after all, the writer is TELLING a story. To short-circuit the ending, to tease the audience, the way they did here, is an artistic cop out. Of course, it is the artist's choice, so he can deal with slings and arrows disgruntled fans for the decision he ultimately made.

Aw, come on Laosan ... have a sense of humor. Those boobs don't realize that the joke's on them. They think people are laughing with them. But you and I know, we're laughing **at** them!

LOL...was she everything I dreamed about? hahaha!

I guess we have similar tastes in Hollywood flicks. I liked "300" director Zack Snyder's previous film: "Dawn of the Dead." Aside from some really clever socioeconomic commentary, he introduced one twist that suddenly made those zombie scary-as-hell: once they saw food (i.e. human) they all moved at one speed, flat-out sprint, and since they were dead already, they'd never tire. I thought that one little twist upped the stakes in the protagonists' dilemme immensely, and made a scary movie actually scary.

So, I was expecting something fresh like that with "300." Sure, the film **is** beautiful, and the CGI battle scenes are impressive, but they were no better than the battle scenes in "Braveheart," or the LOTR trilogy, or even the Kill Bill movies. So after you get over the FX, there was no story worth caring about there.

Oh, well. Next.

Totally agree with you here Laosan. Let's face it, TV on a 20+ inch screen is getting more impoverished every day, even with high-definition. I have HBO, and now with the slow demise of <em>The Sopranos</em> I have very little hope that television will ever improve. HBO was the apex, and it's on the decline. So why should we expect a BETTER experience on a platform that will be no more than 6 inches across? If our writers, directors, actors and studios can barely crank out coherent and relevant pabulum to entertain pwople when they're lounging on their couches, can they really be expected to deliver a compelling product on a tiny, handheld screen?

Agreed Jefferson must go. Not sure what he was thinking, he was already under the microscope for being both a Democrat and Black man. I also find it peculiar that so many on both sides of the fence came to his aid.

Not backtracking one step. If you're really interested go to Salon, look at the ad for a few seconds, then read the article. I think you'll find the point easy to understand.

Oh boy, I think you need a preview mode in your comments here, but since they're being 'moderated', I'll offer a further correction:

I DID NOT mean "wrongs" in my initial post. I mean "words."

I want to read the full article, but unfortunately, other than the lead, the rest of the article is shrouded behind the Salon membership wall. But I'm confused about the author's comments here, if you're referring to the CBC, why do your wrongs, as excerpted above refer to "black voters." If, in fact, it is the CBC you're questioning, shouldn't the line read, "Can it really be true that <strike>black voters</strike> <b>the CBC</b> will punish Pelosi because she demanded a minimal concession from a corrupt lawmaker who happens to be black?

I mean, come on, you singled out 'black voters' in your comments, someone called you on it, and now you're backtracking?
